Is there any chance i can make the tennis team sophomore year?

Question

I really want to make the tennis team but my schools team is really good. I've never played tennis until this june but i've been playing everyday this summer and I'm getting pretty good, just not good enough for the team yet. So i've made a plan that will hopefully have me at a point where i can make the jv team sophomore year.

I have tennis lessons twice a week year round.
and im playing everyday for an hour year round with my dad who played in college.
in the spring im going to start running and sprinting everyday also so i can move faster on the court.

will this be enough or no? what else can i do?

Hey dude, I'm a USPTA Pro and I also run http://topspinsports.com

Honestly, your on the right track. The most important part of your plan is the lessons two times a week. Just make sure you are seeing improvements each time you step on the court with your coach. If not, your coach isnt doing his job.

The site above is for online tennis lessons. Very few are from myself. The real goal of the site is to bring together the best online pros (which it is successful at doing). Just check out some stuff, if your coach isnt teaching you the things the pros on my site are, i would find a new one....

....If he is...you WILL make the team.

Good luck,
Steve
