Before Serving you must know your target and opponent. The goal is to catch your opponent off guard. The best way to do this is to hit to the opponents weakness or force them do hit a defensive return
After the serve, let your body weight carry you into the court (This will get you one step closer to the net)
Get to the net is extremely important. You must sprint after the serve in order to get as close as you can on your first volley
Do not swing. The most important factor in the serve in volley is placement. Do not pressure yourself to hit a hard first volley. Set up the point and if you need, put the ball away on the second volley.
After the first volley close the net and follow your shot. This will cut of the angle your opponent has to pass you.
